what's stormchase ?

ストームチェイスとは激しい嵐や竜巻、雷雨などの気象現象を追跡し、その瞬間を捉える活動です。
単なるスリルを求めた冒険ではなく、科学的観測、記録、そして警報の支援にも繋がる重要な活動です。
私がストームチェイスに惹かれるのは、ただ見るだけではなく、自然の壮大な力を肌で感じることができるからです。
天を割るような稲妻、地平線を覆う巨大な雲、圧倒的な破壊を見せる竜巻。
それらは、日常からかけ離れた異界のように感じます。
私は、これらの現象を美しく、正確に伝え、このような世界もあるのだと知ってほしく活動をしています。
写真と映像を通じて、見る人にその瞬間の空気と緊張を感じてもらいたい。
時に恐ろしく時に美しくもあるその瞬間の中に、私は人間の小ささと、自然の大きさを知るのです。

Storm chasing is the pursuit of extreme weather phenomena such as violent storms, tornadoes, and thunderstorms,
with the goal of capturing those moments as they unfold.

It is not merely a thrill-seeking adventure, but a meaningful activity
that contributes to scientific observation, documentation, and even early warning support.

What draws me to storm chasing is not just seeing the power of nature—but feeling it with my own body.

The sky-splitting lightning, the massive clouds stretching across the horizon, and the raw,
destructive force of a tornado—these scenes feel like a world completely separate from everyday life.

Through my work, I aim to capture these phenomena with both accuracy and beauty, to let people know that such a world exists.
Through photography and video, I want viewers to feel the atmosphere and tension of those moments.
In each encounter—sometimes terrifying, sometimes breathtaking—
I am reminded of how small we are, and how immense the forces of nature truly are.
